Analysis of Gold Doping Rhenium Condition
1 Mixed with a small amount of rhenium, the color and hand feel are normal, and it is difficult to identify with the naked eye.
2 The density of rhenium is 21.04g/cm³, which is very close to the density of gold (19.32g/cm³), and the specific content cannot be detected by the water specific gravity method.
3 The price of rhenium is much cheaper than that of gold. Compared with gold, the price of 1 gram of rhenium is about 20RMB, Gold doped with rhenium is highly profitable.
4 When using a spectrometer to detect, it is easy to mistakenly detect rhenium as zinc. This is because the La spectrum of rhenium and the Ka spectrum of zinc almost overlap, so it is easy to mistakenly detect rhenium as zinc.
5 Be vigilant when recovering gold. It needs to be smelted. After smelting, rhenium is deposited on the bottom surface of the gold. In addition, obvious silver-gray particles can be seen on the surface. As shown below:

If you need to accurately detect the specific content of rhenium doped in gold, you must use an XRF spectrometer using the FP algorithm (basic parameter method).
